Transport Training Services

Formed in 1984 by Dave Entwistle, Transport Training Services is now one of the larger independent forklift training companies within the U.K. By independent we mean we are not sponsored by any manufacturers, so we will not try to sell products or services that are of no value to you, the customer. We also tend to specialise in the mechanical handling side of training, so our instructors are experts in their fields. We cover Great Britain and Europe for on-site training. We also have access to a purpose built training centre in Manchester.

On-site training is the preferred medium, as we strongly believe in training a person on the type of machine which they would be expected to use in carrying out their day to day tasks. Another advantage to this, is that the trainee would be in a familiar environment, training to handle the materials they would be expected to carry in work.

The types of machinery upon which we train operators are varied, from pedestrian controlled pallet trucks, to 56 Tonne container handlers. This includes counterbalanced forklifts, reach trucks, rough terrain forklifts, telescopic material handlers, narrow aisle trucks (man-up or man-down), order pickers etc.

A natural progression from certain types of these, led to the M.E.W.P. courses. (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) These include Scissor Lifts and various types of Boom Platforms.

All our instructors are fully qualified, have a wealth of experienceand are registered with the appropriate governing bodies.
